Hello Family,
How is everything going? How is everyone doing. This has
been a really good week. It went by fast. As usual we are working hard to
find more people. So, I will do a little overview of what happened in the
week.
On Monday we went and did some shopping. I bought some
sweatpants. For the yellow fever shot I found a place to go. I’m
going to do that this week. So I will get my yellow fever shot, that is
all good. I called Javier also. Everything is good for the trip and
ready to go. And then I went shopping after I wrote and found some cool
stuff. And then we went back to the room and got ready for the
night. We had a cool lesson with Jeffers. He is getting baptized
this week. Which is super exciting. He progressed a ton. It
will be awesome to see how he does. We are going to do a fast with him on
Wednesday so he can feel better about his baptism. We also went and had a
lesson with the Taco Family. We rescued them. That is pretty
cool. So now they are all rescued and they have to keep working
hard. And then in the night we had another lesson and got there about 20
or 30 minutes late and everybody had left that was not good. We learned
to be on time. That was Monday. Everything went good on Monday.
Tuesday we had divisions. I went with Elder Bajana. He
came with me to my area. Yeah it was a good day. It was a long day
but we had a really cool lesson at night and everything is going great.
I’m super happy to be here and super happy to find new people. We have
another family that is going to get married and baptized in July and we have
another family that is going to get baptized in June. That is pretty
cool.
Wednesday in the morning we went and did a service project with
two other Elder Quesa and Elder Montoya. We went and made a cement
floor. And yeah it was pretty fun. It took a little while but we
got it done. This week my pensionista traveled to the temple in
Lima. So we were without food. So we found a bunch of members to go
eat with.. On Wednesday we went and ate with this one member. We
made some fried fish and that was really good and then in the afternoon we had
a really cool lesson with Heidi in the night. She just got
baptized. We are teaching her Mom. Everything is going great with
her. That was a really cool lesson in the night.
On Thursday it was a really long day but it was really good.
We were able to get a bunch of stuff done and get another girl with a baptismal
date.
On Friday we went and had a really cool lesson with this one less
active member. Her name is Jenny. Like wow she has no desire to
come back to church. It is really sad. She knows that it is true
but she doesn’t want to live it. For lunch we went and ate with Johnny
Vega. Lunch was really good and after lunch we went and starting
teaching. We had an awesome lesson with Walter and Deanna.
They are super ready. They are super humble. They live in the
middle of nowhere. They grow guinea pigs. They do that for a
living. That was a really cool lesson. They are doing really
awesome.
On Saturday we had a good lesson with Jeffers. He had his
interview so he is good to go for his baptism this week. We went and ate
lunch with Uber and Hyma. In the afternoon a lot of people
cancelled on us. We went and had a lesson with Abram and his wife
Elizabeth.
On Sunday we had a super experience in the morning. So a
week ago we contact this one girl. We knocked on her house. Her
cousin came out. We started talking to her and she was super interested.
So a week later we came back and started talking with her. She is
awesome. She is 17 years old. She has a baptism date for the 26th of
June. I won’t be here but yeah it will be alright. She is doing
really good, she came to church with us too. And yeah so it is really
awesome. In the night we went and talk with Herminia. They are
getting married in July. Their cousins were with them. So we went
and talked with them. It was really cool. We talked about the family.
They had a bunch of questions. We answered them all. And then we
went and had a Family Home Evening with Abram, and Carlo, Cassia, and
Sato. It was super cool. We made pancakes and shared a lesson about
the Expressions of Love by Richard G Scott. It was a really
good night.
So overall this week was great. We had four rescues where we
rescued the family. The Taco family. They had been coming more
constantly. Yeah it has been super cool. I’m super happy and
working hard this week. This week will be good. I have divisions where
we go to a different area to see how it is doing. We have a family
history activity on Saturday. This week should be really good and
hopefully Jeffers will be ready to go for his baptism on Saturday.
